BIRD OF PARADISE MINISTRIES
IN RWANDA (BPMR)

Thank you for your continued support for Bird of Paradise Ministries in Rwanda. I am writing to ask for your prayers at this time for Jerome and Mary. Following consultation with a specialist in Rwanda, Mary was advised that she needed emergency surgery. As this was not available locally, arrangements were quickly put in hand for her to travel to a hospital in India which has a partnership arrangement with the Government of Rwanda. The office in Kigali was able to organise flights and visas as well as the transfer of Mary’s medical history. Mary is now recovering from that surgery and remains in India with Jerome for post-operative checks. The home in Kigali is in the safe hands of the young woman who recently joined the team and who has been looking after things in their absence.
As you can imagine this has been, and remains, a difficult and testing time for them. However, they remain at peace, trusting God to meet all their needs.
Mary wrote recently:
"We know beyond doubt that God is with us all the way through and He is our great healer, for by His wounds we are healed" (Is. 53:5).
Please pray as you are led for Mary and Jerome, for their children and grandchildren who will be feeling the tyranny of distance and the BPMR family in Kigali.
