Letter from Bobbie.

Dear Friends,

When Jerome and Mary wrote their Easter prayer letter, they were still hopeful that they would be able to travel at the end of April as planned. However, everything has changed. We, and they, are now subject to restrictions which make travel impossible and the plans all of us have made, individually, with our families or indeed for any other reason, are on hold.

Jerome has been in touch today to inform us that there are now 36 cases of Corona virus in Rwanda, flights have been cancelled and there are very stringent measures in force in an effort to control the disease.

As we seek God’s strength, encouragement and peace in these difficult days, Jerome reminds us of Psalm 40:1-3:

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.

Please keep Jerome and Mary and those in their care in your prayers. We look forward in faith to rearranging their visit when this crisis is past and we will keep you informed.
